Insomnia

Well, I can't sleep because I caught my charming son Daniel sneaking in at 1:40 a.m. He was in the bathroom when I knocked. "Where have you been?" I asked. "Sleeping," he answered. I glance in at his carefully-made bed - all the pillows perfectly arranged - teddy bear in the center. "Dan, tell the truth." "Sleeping." "Dan." "Okay I was at my friend's house playing poker." "Which car did you take?" "The truck." That would be my husband's pick-up truck. Ken will certainly know that his truck has been driven. We will be having a talk about this incident tomorrow. Any advice?

oh my...well whatever you decide please blog about it to help out future parents of teens!
I would probably have him apologize to the friends parents for using them to get his way. He not only lied but led other people to believe in his lie. Inappropriate...i think you can love him always and draw firm boundaries.

Awww. When I was in high school and snuck out, my mom locked all the doors so I'd have to ring the doorbell to get back in. It was pretty embarrassing to have her let me back in after sneaking out. Good luck with this.

Oh my...no advice, but it seems good that he owned up to where he was, what he was doing, and having driven the truck. He gets partial credit...but, I guess, not enough to pass the course. Dang...
