Here is a link to the article in the fashion section of the Arizona Republic. This is exactly what I wanted to say! Moms, please teach your daughters to sew. Girls, go ahead and try to make yourself something fun and unique to wear. Are you ready to make your first necktie skirt? Instructions for this project are posted on my October 1st entry - Click on the October archive and scroll down... Thanks for reading my blog!

Rock on, girl! The skirt they pictured in the news article is wonderful, but that's no surprise. I think it's great that you take the opportunity, when YOUR work is featured in the paper, to encourage gals to learn to sew. It's a wonderful skill and a great way to be both productive and creative. I hope you get LOTS of bites as a result of the article!! - Marsha
Awesome stuff - I have loads of neckties from my significant other, so now I have inspiration. But in the paper it said that you would have directions how to make the skirt?
Thanks, and good luck
Hi Jeff, Jan and I are destined to a long future as best friends. I can tell. Oh, and by the way, you only have to publish the post once (not seven times.) It takes a few minutes to show up on the blog but it will show up I promise. Thanks so much for reading my blog - You rock.
